Hello there,
The public meeting I attended last week had a very light turnout (4 people). It would be good for many more people to be familiar with this report and to provide feedback. It lays the ground (so to speak) for much that will follow.
Have a wonderful wet week,
Rue

To Interested Parties:
This notice is to inform you that North Coast Regional Water Board staff will host a public workshop to present the Public Review Draft 2008 Integrated Report for the 305(b) Water Quality Assessment and the 303(d) List of Impaired Waters and to receive oral and written comments from the public. The workshop will be held as follows:
March 12, 2009
10:00 am
Hearing Room
Regional Water Board Office
5550 Skylane Blvd, Ste A
Santa Rosa, CA
Anyone requiring reasonable accommodation to participate in the public meeting should contact Jean Lockett, Executive Assistant, at 707-576-2307 at least five days prior to the scheduled meeting. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. TTY users may contact the California Relay Service at 800-735-2929 or voice line at 800-735-2922.
The 2008 Integrated Report includes an assessment of surface waters in the North Coast Region and identifies waterbodies that are not meeting water quality standards. Waterbodies that do not meet water quality standards are placed on the 303(d) List of Impaired Waters, which generally triggers future development of a total maximum daily load (TMDL). More information on the 2008 Integrated Report can be found at http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/northcoast/water_issues/programs/tmdls/303d/.
If you have any questions or comments on the 2008 Integrated Report, please contact me at 707-576-2650 or rfitzgerald@waterboards.ca.gov. Also please contact me if you would like to be removed from the interested parties list.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Fitzgerald
