Mark Your Calendars for a Clean Water Restoration Act National Call-in! On Wednesday, August 5th at 3 p.m. (ET) Clean Water Network’s Grassroots Task Force will host a national Clean Water Restoration Act call-in.
The purpose of this call is to provide timely information on the status of the bill and to prepare Network members gearing up for in-district meetings with their members of Congress during the upcoming summer recess. There will be time for Network members to ask questions and to share their own experiences from the field. The next congressional recess begins August 3rd (August 10th for the Senate) through September 7th. This is a perfect opportunity for you to let your Senators and Representative know that they can not delay in passing this legislation. Setting up a meeting takes advance time, so it is best to get a request in as soon as possible. Whether your members of Congress have supported the bill in the past or not, we need to impress upon all of them the urgency of addressing the issue this year!
