Getting to Know the New Storm Water Permit Program!!
Please join us in Sonoma County on Tuesday, December 8th for program covering the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board’s new storm water permit adopted October 1, 2009. The 2-hour program will include presentations by Mona Dougherty and Reg Cullen.  Mona has worked for the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board for nine years, most recently in the municipal storm water program.  Reg works for the County of Sonoma at the Permit and Resource Management Department (PRMD) as an engineer in the Grading & Storm Water Section.  The December 8th

Program will address the following questions:

(1)      How does the new storm water permit differ from the previous permit?

(2)      What do environmental professionals need to know in order to move forward with project planning, construction, and maintenance of projects to be compliant with the new storm water permit?

(3)      How will local permit processes, such as for building, grading, and drainage permits, be affected?

(4)      What are some “tips” for making projects, CEQA documentation, and permit applications compliant with the new storm water permit?
