Green Valley Creek Water Resources Public Meeting-Nov. 30

Green Valley Creek Water Resources Public Meeting – Tuesday, November 30, 6 pm

The Russian River Coho Water Resources Partnership (Patnership) is pleased

to announce a public informational workshop to share what we have been

enaged in to support local water supply and conservation issues in the Green

Valley Creek Watershed. The Partnership is comprised of staff from the Gold

Ridge and Sotoyome RCDs, the Center for Ecosystem Management and Restoration

(CEMAR), the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center’s WATER Institute (OAEC), the

University of California’s Cooperative Extension (UCCE), and Trout

Unlimited (TU). Together we have made signficant strides in establishing a

scientific foundation to identify key reaches that could benefit from

grant-funded water conservation or storage projects. Please come join us on

Tuesday November 30th, 6:00pm at the Graton Community Club to hear the

following talks and learn about opportunities to potentially benefit from

this program. Please forward this email to anyone who lives in the Green

Valley Creek Watershed, or may be interested in water resources management

in Sonoma County.

§ Linda Tandle, Partnership Coordinator: Update on Partnership activities

and disseminate information on who to contact if you are interested in

participating in a project.

§ Matt Dietch, PhD (CEMAR): Green Valley Creek gauge information – How this

information can be used to identify priority project areas. What the data

has been telling us so far.

§ Mariska Obedzinski (UCCE): Status of the Coho in Green Valley Creek

§ MaryAnn King and/or Brian Johnson (TU): Update on Instream Flow Policy

for the North Coast; How Partnership members can assist landowners with

water right permits

in the Salmon Creek Watershed through the Save Our Salmon (SOS) – Salmon

Creek Habitat Rehabilition Program

§ Brock Dolman: Stormwater management and Water Conservation; Enlist

grant funding.

Please contact me with any questions. I will be sending some reminder

emails, so if you are uninterested in receiving future emails, please do not
