Trout Unlimited will be the major Sponsor of the 2011 Festival.
The Redwood Empire Chapter of Trout Unlimited provided educational information on the status of wild fish in the Russian River Watershed and what needs to be done to help the threatened species.
They also built the Trout Pond where many excited young children caught their first fish.
Friday, February 11th
The 4th Annual Healdsburg Wild Steelhead Festival kicks off with the WILD Salmon Dinner at the Villa Chanticleerin Healdsburg. Guest speaker Lani Waller will share his thoughts. (Click here for his bio)Dining – Healdsburg Wild Steelhead Festival Appetizers and no-host bar begins at 5:30pm, buffet dinner at 6:30pm.  Silent auction and live band, Chris Rovetti and the Meatballs, too! Join us for this special evening, $35 adults and $20 kid under12.
Saturday February 12th
The Plaza in Downtown Healdsburg is the place to be from 10am to 4pm as the Festival get’s going!  There will be a trout pond under the Gazebo for the young angler, and a fly fishing pond to learn from the pros. Fish cooking demos from local chefs, wine tasting, fish soup and treats to eat, face painting and art for kids to do and a live steelhead display to enjoy. Live band for dancing and info booths from Trout Unlimited, Russian Riverkeeper, Dept. of Fish and Game, Army Corp, Healdsburg Museum, Dyna KingSonoma County Water Agency, Costeaux Bakery, Chicago Hot Dogs,  Vintage Valley Catering and more! Sunday February 13th
Family fun events at the Visitor Center at Lake Sonoma. See the fish returning to the hatchery and jumping the fish ladder, fish sorting, Healdsburg High School Jazz Band, Michel Schlumberger Wines and more!  10am -3pm.
