August 11th: Celebrate the Salmon Potluck Picnic
1 pm at the Neighborhood Facility, Hoopa CA
The Hoopa Valley Tribe is inviting the community to come out to the
Neighborhood Facilities in Hoopa after the Sovereign Day parade for a Picnic
and Salmon Feed to celebrate the  salmon.
This year the Trinity and Klamath Rivers are expecting the largest run of
salmon in recent history. This event aims to celebrate this historical salmon
run, along with efforts to protect them and preserve Tribal rights and culture
Everyone is encouraged to share efforts and ideas to help protect the salmon,
and to encourage salmon fishing and fish sharing.

There will be door prizes, raffles, speakers and music. This event is sponsored
by the River Rights Committee of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. Please bring your
favorite potluck dish or desert. Salmon will be provided by local fishermen.
