Tell the Forest Service: Only You Can Prevent Extinction
It may seem obvious that fish need water, but some government agencies need to be reminded. Right now, stretches of the Scott River (some of the best salmon habitat in the Klamath Basin) are being completely dewatered. Although the U.S. Forest Service holds an in-stream water right for fish and wildlife, they do not enforce it. Their decision in this matter could be the difference between survival and extinction for endangered coho salmon runs in the Scott River.
