The Salmonid Restoration Federation will produce the 31st Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference at the River Lodge in Fortuna, California on March 13-16, 2013. The theme of this year’s conference is “Innovative Approaches to Fisheries Restoration.” The first two days of the conference will be filled with full-day workshops and field tours. A half-day plenary session will be followed by a day and a half of technical, biological, and policy-related concurrent sessions. The conference agenda will explore the theories, philosophies, and science informing the development of restoration practices that mimic natural processes and will focus on pressing issues that are affecting the future of the salmonid restoration field including diminishing funding, regulatory hurdles, climate change, water diversions, and balancing competing resources.
