World Water Monitoring Challenge starts Mar 22, World Water Day

World Water Monitoring Challenge™ is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.
In 2013, a total of 184,965 visits were made by participants to monitoring sites in 51 countries. We challenge you to test the quality of your waterways, share your findings, and protect our most precious resource!

When is the WWMC monitoring period?
The monitoring period occurs any day/time between March 22 (World Water Day) and December 31. The WWMC coordinators officially observe World Water Monitoring Day on September 18 each year.
